About Tetra Fields
Tetra Fields (SDVOSB) delivers specialized expertise in IT, health IT, AI/ML,
data science, and research. Tetra Fields was selected as a finalist in the
2024 VA AI Tech Challenge (top 10 among more than 200 teams). In fact,
the deliverable generated by our AI solution was ranked #1 among all
competitors in Phase II. In health IT, we help to create the CMS
Interoperability Roadmap (health Informatics, health IT and interoperability) encompassing 2025 to 2035.
For data science and research, since 2020, Tetra Fields leverages cutting-edge research and advanced data sciences to calculate clinical quality measures (CQMs) and electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) for hospitals – approximately 10% of national GDP is spent for care provided at hospitals based on our measures.
Dr. Thomas Chon
Soon after Dr. Chon graduated from Georgetown University with a Master of Science, he started performing clinical research at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) in Silver Spring, MD. In less than a year, he published as a principal investigator for a review paper on interferon-tau in the Journal of Interferon and Cytokine Research (the #1 impact factor journal in the field based out of the National Institutes of Health). Some of the senior colonels at WRAIR then vetted the quality of the publication and Dr. Chon was offered a direct commission as an Army Officer. At the time, our country was fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, so it was an easy decision for him to make. Dr. Chon served as an Army Officer in the Medical Service Corp for six and a half years. While serving, he sustained service-connected injury and transitioned into the private sector and founded Tetra Fields in 2020.
